While recently diving in the world of Angular Material, I started to play with the theming options. Using this we can override the default theme colors of our theme. But I couldn’t find a decent source of which options are available. So, I wanted to create an overview and share it with the world.

Available colors options

Red $mat-red

Pink $mat-pink

Purple $mat-purple

Deep-Purple $mat-deep-purple

Indigo $mat-indigo

Blue $mat-blue

Light-blue $mat-light-blue

Cyan $mat-cyan

Teal $mat-teal

Green $mat-green

Light-green $mat-light-green

Lime $mat-lime

Yellow $mat-yellow

Amber $mat-amber

Orange $mat-orange

Deep-orange $mat-deep-orange

Brown $mat-brown

Grey $mat-grey

Blue-grey $mat-blue-grey

Black $mat-black

White $mat-white

Keep in mind that these default colors are color palettes. These examples are more of a small sneak peaks into the color pallete. To learn more about material color usage and palattes checkout material.io.

Available default theme options

head over to material.angular.io for more information on how to install these themes in your app.

EDIT: after writing this I found: materialpalette.com which also shows a nice overview of the available color options.

Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create. In a time of destruction and waste. This is what I try to focus on.
